What is the best way to let MicroSoft help me fix the WGA Notification
problem I have. I've tried all the stuff I've seen discussed here, and it
hasn't worked yet. They should be willing to talk me through this. Is
there a phone #, an email address?

WGA Tool MS Forums: Thanks, Before I post on their proprietary forum, I want to collect all the
data on the actions I have taken so far.

First, I edited the registry permissions as per Robin Walker. No joy.

Second, I manually downloaded and installed #905474. No change.

Third, I deleted the contents of my DataStore folder. Didn't solve the
    problem.

    Reviewing my actions, I notice that I don't have a WGAnotify.log, or a
WGA.log as referenced in the registry permissions instructions. Is this my
    problem?

Please follow this simple troubleshooting procedure:

    1. Download and install the WGA Diagnostic Tool
    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=56062

    2. After running the WGA Diagnostic Tool, click on the "Windows" tab and
then click on "Copy to Clipboard".

    3. Next, visit the following website and create a post in the "WGA
Validation Problems" forum and paste the results of the WGA Diagnostic Data
    in a detailed post:
    http://forums.microsoft.com/Genuine/default.aspx?SiteID=25

    4. A WGA troubleshooting specialist will analyze the data and recommend an
    appropriate solution.

No. Didn't work. It's too bad because I tried it on 2 other computers and
it worked fine. The one that won't update is also the one that won't run
the diagnostic. Somewhat ironic! Thanks for trying.

  6. Please clarify what you mean by "won't run the diagnostic". What exactly
happens when you try? Give the text of any error messages or any error
    numbers.

It fails to run. The error message says the generic "WGAN has encountered a
problem and must close, Please send this error message to MS" I can look at
the message, but it is many pages.
