For my PPS presentations I need (small) wav files. Switch (from NCH) is
working very well in XP. There are a lot of items to choose in de mpeg
layer-3 to use in the encoder settings.
Now I use Vista and this possibility is gone, no mpeg layer-3 encoder
settings even after I installed a lame encoder. Can anyone tell me what to
    do?
Preferably in the same programme. I read in some other pages Vista and mp3
    don't work together anymore ... ???
Who can help me/us, since more people in out group do have the same problem.
    Thanks

Yes indeed oscar, I'm using Audacity for editing the music (cut and paste,
effects), but by exporting to wav the file is x time bigger than mp3, that's
normal, but in switch one can choose settings for lower quality thus smaller
file. I'm using this to enclose music in my PPS. Can't find a way in
    Audacity to do something similar.
Now I'm using 56 kb/s, 24000 Hz stereo and 6kb/sec (encoder settings of mpeg
layer-3). This results in a file of ± 1 MB for 2,5-3 min music.
Is Audacity able to do this? Would be great too.
    Thanks
