Copy approvals from one group to another?

    Hi there,

I'd like to know if there's a tool available for WSUS 3.0 to copy the
approvals from one computer group to another. I use group policy-based
computer group management, starting with a test group. When the updates are
fully tested within my test group, I would like to be able to copy the
update approvals from this group to my production group to deploy the
    updates company-wide.

In WSUS 2.0, I found the WSUS tool/script posted here: ("WSUS TOOL: Copying
Approvals Between Target Groups" It worked
well, and did everything I needed. Before I try to run it against my
upgraded WSUS 3.0 installation, can anyone confirm that it works or does
not, and whether it breaks anything? I was hoping it would be an included
feature in 3.0 but it doesn't seem to be addressed. Thanks!

So I guess either there's no way to do it, or my post fell between the
    cracks somehow...

As it is right now, it looks like I either have to move production users
into the test group to get the approvals, or I have to go through the list
one by one and approve each update I approved in the test group for the
production group. It's not really ideal to use the test group for production
deployment, because then I have to recreate a new test group next time I
deploy (therefore manually adding updates). The alternative of manually
approving each update for the production group ends up creating the same
    amount of manual effort.

We can't just approve all outstanding updates, as there is significant
testing involved in our environment to ensure the patches we deploy don't
break any apps - homegrown apps especially.

Can anyone comment one way or another? Is this something that could be added
to the feature request list if it isn't currently available?

Thanks in advance for your response :)

I went back and looked at previous posts, and it appears the answer I want
is in the "new update view" functionality. I can create a view that shows me
all updates approved for my test group, which will then allow me to approve
them for the production group all at once. Thanks for the hint, BigEd!
