Can somone clear up for me if, in device manger the CPU is listed by
logical or physical cores? i.e. Would a quad core processor come up as
    1 processor or 2?

    Simple stuff i know!

  2. With today's modern processors, Device Manager counts cores, not processors.
One processor with four cores = four processors shown. Two processors with
one core each = two processors shown.

  3. A Quad Core comes up as 4. A Dual Core comes up as 2.
