I've been trying to install Service Pack 2 for Windows XP but am having
difficulties getting it to succeed. When I think it's going through without
a hitch, I get a pop up or error message telling me "Make sure the
Cryptographic service is running on this computer". My question is, what am
I supposed to do to change or correct the settings?

My platform is Windows XP Pro Service Pack 1...would like to update it to
Service Pack 2 (need to in order to have my iPod work correctly). Currently
trying to install via CD a friend had ordered from Microsoft to update her
    Service Pack.

    Would appreciate any help.
