DCOM error 10010

Discussion in 'Windows Server' started by Martin Sherred, Nov 2, 2004.

  1. After an upgrade from Windows 2000 server to Windows Server (Standard) 2003 I
am seeing repeated DCOM 10010 in the event log. Description is as follows:

"The server {A9E69610-B80D-11D0-B9B9-00A0C922E750} did not register with
    DCOM within the required timeout."

This GUID indicates the IISAdmin service. Along with IISAdmin and FTP,
Terminal Services will not start on this server. The server is a simple file
server, it is however running "Filemaker Server" a MAC db program that has
been ported to WIndows. Beyond that nothing unusual. This server gets
managed remotely and so TS is a must. Any ideas appreciated. This server is
completely up to date on hotfixes etc.

    Thanks
