Click on the 1st message you want to delete > scroll to the last one > press
SHIFT key and HOLD > click the last message > all the messages front the 1st
one to the last will be shaded > click Delete.

Just above the first message and at the left side of each is a small
check box. Once you click on the top box there all messages are
immediately checked off for the next step of clicking on the delete
    button.

You can also have checked off and simply uncheck any that you still
want to keep while sending the rest on their way. The option for
automatically emptying the deleted items folder when exiting Windows
    Mail can also be set.
