The SRV Records have been deleted on a domain controller with a single name
(no trailing "." after the name) domain controller. Using netdiag /fix does
not restore these records. Is ther anyway to restore these records
    automatically or manually?

    Thank you!

  2. Can you clarify?
Are you saying the domain controller has no primary DNS suffix?

Or, are you saying the domain name is a single-label domain name?

Either of the above will cause DNS registration of the Netlogon records to
    fail.

Windows 2000 server or Windows Server 2003?

Your description of "domain controller with a single name (no trailing "."
after the name)" is not a helpful description of your problem.

The Domain name is "Fryfood" - so the Domain name is a single label domain
name. This is a windows 2003 SBS. We are considering renaming the Domain to
"fryfood.local", but just wondering what the best solution is for this
    problem.

  4. The best solution would be a domain rename, for now and until a rename is
performed, enter the registry entries listed in the KB I posted on all
    domain members and DCs.
I've never had the opportunity to test whether you can even perform the
rename until the registry is modified to allow the single-label domain.
