Whenever I plug my laptop into the wall, the screen goes blank. Th
power is still on and if I remove the connection to the wall, the scree
still does not turn on. However, if I start up without it plugged in, i
works just fine (as I post this now.)

I am currently running vista and have had no computer problems prior t
    this one. Any suggestions

  2. I would suspect a power supply problem. If the battery is charging I suppose
you can live with it, but if under warrantee, I would contact the maker.

Even if not under warranty, contact the manufacturer. Laptops and their
batteries have been known to combust. Besides, Vista doesn't care where the
juice is coming from, and wouldn't cause the screen to go black.
