The align to grid function for the desktop no longer works.

Right clicking on the desktop and going to view shows align to grid is
checked but the icons do not align to a gird.

Anybody know how to fix this?

    I'll appreciate the help.

I know it was a dumb question... just had to check.

    2nd dumb question ;-)

Have you tried unchecking, okaying, then checking it back on, and okaying?

Yes, it done all that and rebooted too.

    None worked.

    Please keep the ideas coming.

    Thanks,

This is always my last resort - and as no-one else has taken an interest in
your problem, I suggest you try it. (or repost which a sexier subject to
    grab attention ;-))

    Follow the instructions very carefully.

    Found the problem.

    I had installed Norton Ghost v. 9.

It wouldn't work with Vista so I uninstalled and align to grid returned.

    Thanks for the help,
