    Hello

    My question is like this:
I´ve installed about 30 w2003 CAL Pr Device on the server for about 1 years
ago. From the beginning this has been wrong, I should have used Pr User, so I
experienced that the CAL is taking machine-names and fills up.

Is ther possible to transfer this CAL´s to User "mode", or did I have to buy
    new licences?
The customer is titled to use Academic Lisences.

    Thanks for good help earlier.

    Hello There,

I am not a MVP here but would like to put some comment.

A school has 100 computers and 200 students, then I would say they need 100
Devices CAL becasue they only have maximum 100 machines access to the server
    at the same time.

    another example,

A testing Lab, 10 machines but only 5 people working in the Lab, and the
users always login with their own username, then they need 5 users CAL
because even 5 users login to 10 machines, that would still consider as 5
users access. Hence they only need 5 users CAL.

In a general academic usage, I would say Device CAL is more approiate than
    User CAL.

Please correct if I am incorrect.

    Thanks

    @__@!
