    I'm getting the following error quite often now and need to solve it.

    From some research it seems to be caused by a new replication group or a new
    namespace. I've been doing a lot of DFS additions lately and want to get this
    sorted.
    -------------
    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: DFSR
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 6002
    Date: 29/02/2008
    Time: 13:26:04
    User: N/A
    Computer: STORE1
    Description:
    The DFS Replication service detected invalid msDFSR-Subscriber object data
    while polling for configuration information.

    Additional Information:
    Object DN:
    CN=f4d4aa84-3dfc-4cfb-9f54-f674ee62b808,CN=DFSR-LocalSettings,CN=STORE1,OU=SBSServers,OU=Computers,OU=MyBusiness,DC=domain,DC=local
    Attribute Name: msDFSR-MemberReference
    Domain Controller: sbs2003.stirtech.local
    Polling Cycle: 60 minutes

    For more information, see Help and Support Center at
    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

    Any help appreciated.

    Problem Solved.

    I had to download the Windows 2003 SP1 Support Tools and use ADSIEDIT.msc. /
    ADSIEDIT.dll.

    Drilled down into the path highlighted in the error (following the error
    backwards of course as wonderful AD paths are.

    So...

    DC=local
    DC=domain,
    OU=MyBusiness
    OU=Computers
    CN=DFSR-
    OU=SBSServers
    CN=STORE1-LocalSettings
    CN=f4d4aa84-3dfc-4cfb-9f54-f674ee62b808

    Then i found the CN f4d4aa84-3dfc-4cfb-9f54-f674ee62b808 and it was empty.
    So i deleted it. The DFS system then registered that it had received valid
    object data. All sorted. I had to delete the offending entries on the replica
    server also.

    If you have any queries about solving such problems, just post here.

    Cheers.

    I have this error, The DFS Replication service detected invalid
    msDFSR-Subscriber object data while polling for configuration information.

    I checked the object with ADSI edit and it looks fine, I compared it with a
    working DFS and they are exactly the same.

    This DFS replication will not replicate anything at all, so I am out of
    ideas if anyone has a clue?

    Andy.
