    Hi,
I would like to know what is the difference between Enterprise Sub CA and
Standalone Sub CA when installed in a domain ?
Is the difference in terms of requiring certificate templates in Enterprise
Sub CA and not in Standalone Sub CA or something else ?

Links or pointers to help me understand this difference would be very much
    appreciated.

  2. Generally you would want to use a Enterprise CA which will be much more
flexible with your Active Directory users and computers for requesting
certificates via the MMC snapin for certificates or autoenroll/automatic
certificate request. You will have more options with certificate templates
particularly if it is installed on Windows 2003 Enterprise Server in which
case you can use version 2 templates that can use autoenrollment and create
duplicate templates that can be more customized to your needs. --- Steve
