Difficulties setting up and managing folders

    If I set up a new folder, it sometimes appears and sometimes it doesn't.
    If I move an email into a folder, sometimes it appears where I've put it and
    sometimes it doesn't.
    This is a clean new installation of office 97 0n a new toshiba laptop.

    HELP PLEASE!!!!!

    Incidentally, Office 97 is probably too old for Vista.
