  1. Hello Ace Fekay [Microsoft Certified Trainer],

The speed is a 2mbit line, so it shouldn't be that problem. The only documentation
i found was with the "enabling of change notification" on the site link,
but i have to check this on monday when i am in the office.

"Replication between sites occurs according to a schedule, where the destination
requests changes at the specified time. By default, """change notification
is not enabled on site links.."""""

  3. Hello Ace Fekay [Microsoft Certified Trainer],

Change notification is not enabled on our sitelink.

Did again a check, between PDCEmulator in our site and not a direct replication
partner in AD Sites and services and now the time was 15 minutes.

I also did the same test as last time between the same 2 direct replication
partners from AD sites and services and now it takes also 15 minutes, i can
not reproduce the 5 minutes from the last time. Don't know how the 5 minutes
    appear.

    Best regards

You bring up an interesting point. Unless i missed something, so it appears
to depend on a number of factors. One, which DC is accepting the request,
2), the partnership of that DC to the PDC Emulator, and 3), if the PDC
Emulator is not a bridgehead, or if the accepting DC is not a bridgehead,
then it has to go through intrasite communication first to the bridgehead,
then across the link to the other bridgehead, and if the PDC Emulator is not
a bridgehead, then intrasite communication jumps into play again. Wow...

I guess it may be better for such an enterprise design to at least make the
PDC Emulator the bridgehead in its Site.

    Thanks!!

  5. Hello Ace Fekay [Microsoft Certified Trainer],

Intrasite it was done in seconds, compared it during the test on different
DC's with F5, so that should not really have influence about the different
    time to the other site.

Because of the high load on bridgehead serervs, they should not hold any
    FSMO roles if possible.

"Bridgehead servers for the inbound and outbound replication to the branch
offices will experience high load, especially if replication is configured
in a way that one bridgehead server will service many outbound replication
partners at the same time. It is good practice to remove all other operations
from these computers (such as the PDC Emulator role)."

Excellent link. But does that explain the delay?

  7. Hello Ace Fekay [Microsoft Certified Trainer],

No, just about the PDCEmulator and bridgehead server relation.

Hmm, something else is causing the delay.

  9. Hello Ace Fekay [Microsoft Certified Trainer],

It seems. Back to the starting point, disabling an account does not look
    like urgent replication for me.
