Someone disabled the administrator account, and we have no other user names
activated on this work computer. When the log on screen pops up, there are no
options to click on. I've tried control+alt+delete, and a window pops up to
log on, but nothing is accepted, since all user names are disabled. Am I
    screwed?

I fixed my problem. for anyone else with this problem: when the computer is
booting up, hit F8. To boot in safe mode, hit F8 again. Highlight "safe mode"
and continue. Select your operating system (in my case, "windows xp
professional"). The same screen pops up, "select your user account" and
nothing is displayed. Hit ctl+alt+delete TWICE. I was then able to log on
through the disabled administrator account. I then went to control panel,
administrator options, and changed the administrator account to "enabled." I
    am a genius.

I tried that trick with Windows Vista RC1. I see Administrator and Other
User. I selected Other User, hit CRTL ALT DEL twice and was still not able to
get into the disabled admin account. What am I doing wrong here. I cannot
even manage my own PC now. Any other ideas? Anyone?
