    Greetings,

I understand you can disable the NETBT (NETBIOS) service using the resource
kit command SC. I also understand that the DHCP service has
a dependency on the NETBT service.

Is it possible to remove the NETBT dependency for DHCP using SC?

Would someone please post and example of using SC to disable NETBT
and change the dependency for DHCP?

    Thanks,

    Stan

  2. What platform are you running? On Windows 2003 Server the DHCP server
service does not have a dependency on NetBT.

If you type SC /? you willbe provided with a list of commands and the
    capabilities of this tool.

    Greetings,

Thank you for replying. Yes, Windows 2003 server DHCP does not have
a dependency on NetBT. Luckily that is what I am using.

    Thanks again,

    Stan
