disaster recovery help needed on W2003

Hi,

I need to reinstall my server after a disk crash.

I only have the DLT backup tape with the entire c drive and the system state
data. I used NTbackup to perform the backup.

I don't have an emercency disk.

My first plan was to install xp on another disk, boot from it, use NTbackup
to restore the c drive and system state data.

It would not even boot.

then I formatted the new c drive, installed a new copy of W2003 on it and
then did the restore on the c drive.

I got an IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL STOP: 0x0000000a
(0x0000006d,0x00000002,0x00000000,0x80824a6b) blue screen.

What is the best way to restore my server?

Hi,

My ASR files keep on pointing to a backupset I don't have.

I used the article stated below to the letter. Get the ASR files from the
repair dir on the backup of 15/01/2005 but in the asr file it keeps on
asking for "Backup.bkf created 31/10/2004 at 17:04","F:\Backup.bkf"

wich is an older backup an I don't have it.

Is there a way to edit the asr file?
