Does MCE 2004 gives a mach better quality then Analog VCR ?

    Hi guys,
    i am thinking about purchasing video and capture card and to build my own MCE 2004 machine (first test it with MSDN version).
    My main goal is to use it as a digital VCR (PVR is the term? in Israel we just call it 'video'...) and to upgrade the analog VCR quality i currently have. not using HDTV, just satellite or digital cables with a good quality

    After reading many of the threads here, i am afraid i won't have not much quality upgrade.

    IS THAT TRUE ? AT THE END OF THE DAY, IS IT BETTER THAN ANALOG VCR A GREAT DEAL
