Does the Virtual PC includes a Virtual Application feature?

  1. Hello

I think I once read that the Virtual PC included a Virtual Application
feature (like Citrix where you could start an Emulation with only one
program and without the windows Taskbar etc., so you don't get the fealing
that you have two operationsystem running).

Is this just my imagination, or dose the Virtual PC include this feature?

It does not, though you could run your VPCs in full screen mode.

  3. Hello Paul

That is a shame... it would be very cool.

Anyway... thanks for you quick answer.

  4. You can get close by setting the registry value
    hklm\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\winlogon\shell
    to the application you want.
By default this is set to Explorer.exe, which will normally start up
    after log on.

Be careful with this setting, you can easily make your system

Note: Ctrl-shift-Esc will still give you Task Manager, if you want to
change the value back to Explorer.exe.

Sounds to me like you are thinking of the Mac version, even if no one told
you so at the time you heard about this...
