I inhereted a w2k domain which was set up with the internal dns being the same as the external registered dns namespace. The documentation seems to suggest that when you upgrade a seperate companyname.local namspace is created using your orginizations name, so as to seperate external and internal namespaces

So if I upgrade from a domain companyname.com, will I end up with comanyname.local for my internal dns (I hope so)? Or do I need to setup a new server and do a migration (I hope not) to get my internal and eternal dns namespaces seperated. Any suggestions would be appreciated...

    Thanks!
