double-click sound not using mouse

  1. Hello,

I keep hearing a double-click sound even when I am not using the mouse.

I have IE 7.0. I also have AVG anti-spyware, Spybot and MS Windows
Defender, which has scanned and found nothing.

I went to and I tried to do an “opt-out†however I received
an error message which says “Privacy: Opt-Out An error occurred assigning the
opt-out cookie. Possible causes include manually rejecting the opt-out cookie
when it is assigned or that your web browser is configured to reject cookies
automatically. Check your browser's configuration settings. Note: you will
get this error message if your browser does not support cookiesâ€

I can not find cookie settings in IE7.0. Can you please tell me what I need
to do in order to eliminate this annoying double-click intrusion.

With information I can tell you where to look for the sounds.

However, I don't have a double click sound on either WinXP or Vista. Are
you perhaps meaning the sound when you navigate to a different Web page?

You are hearing the navigate sound, because you have a web page
open that is querying the server for updates to the page.

    This page will cause that:
