Back when Windows 2000 Server and Exchange 2000 were about to be released someone told me that in order to run Exchange Server 2000 I would need the Advanced Edition of W2K Server. I bought it, only to later discover that this information was wrong. Now I am trying to upgrade that server to Windows Server 2003, but the upgrade won't take because I am running the Advanced Server.

I there any way I can upgrade this server without buying an unneeded copy of Enterprise Edition 2003 or reformatting my hard drive?

  2. No, there is no way to upgrade from Windows 2000 Advanced Server to Windows
    Server 2003 Standard.
