    Hi Dave,

    if this is existing (old user) that you would like to add then you use this
    command

    ***************************************************************
    dsmod group "CN=US INFO,OU=Distribution Lists,DC=microsoft,DC=com" -addmbr
    "CN=John Smith,CN=Users,DC=microsoft,DC=com"
    "CN=Jane Smith,CN=Users,DC=microsoft,DC=com"
    ***************************************************************

    dsadd is for new object not for editing existing ones...

    I hope this helps,

    Mike

    Hi,

    In which container is this group? This has to be specified in DN path. By
    default it will probably be in "Users" container.

    -memberof CN=GL-KINGS-STAFF,CN=Users,DC=kings,DC=local

    if you have this group in e.g. "IT" OU then it would be like this

    -memberof CN=GL-KINGS-STAFF,OU=IT,DC=kings,DC=local

    You only need to use " " if you have space in DN path. I tried adding this
    to my test domain.

    dsadd user CN=Ben,CN=Users,DC=a,DC=dom -samid Ben -pwd Pa55word -fn Ben -ln
    Smith -display "Ben Smith" -email -pwdneverexpires yes -memberof
    "CN=Domain Admins,CN=Users,DC=a,DC=dom"

    and it worked. Be careful about the spaces (e.g. member of is not correct.
    It must be memberof). Also make sure that you enter all the necessary user
    parameters (look above)...
