DTM offers USB tests for my device under XP but not under Vista

Discussion in 'Windows Vista Drivers' started by Colin Helliwell, Feb 13, 2007.

  1. I've been running tests on my USB TV Tuner under XP. I go to Device Console,
select View By Driver, select an instance of my driver/device, and it
presents me with Available Jobs consisting of categories: Driver
Reliability, Generic, and TV Tuner. The Generic category contains the nine
USB tests. These run and pass fine.
Then I repeat this with my client booted in Vista instead. The Generic
category no longer contains the USB tests (except USB Bus Gatherer).
The dimensions applied to the machine pool policy (in both cases) are:
    Ehome\HasTvTuner and Wdk\ConfigureBraodcastReceiverStreamingMedia.

Anyone know what's causing this? (Any way to report this bug to Microsoft
without having to pay for the privilege???)

  2. Colin,

DTM does not have newsgroup support. Please use the following information
    to obtain DTM support:

As of February 1, 2007 DTM support is being handled via standard Microsoft
product support channels. The web form previously used for DTM case
    creation is no longer accepted.

Customers with a Premier support contract should work with their TAM to
    open support incidents.

For non-Premier customers, use the 'Windows Server 2003 Device Driver Kit'
    Professional Support Options listed at:
This site includes phone numbers and pricing information.
