    hi everyone,
i was trying to run dk gold on my emulated windows 98 when i got this wierd
"error": everything woks fine, but parts of the program (the loading screen,
intro viedeo and everything in-game, not the main menu nor the producers
splash screen) are only visible halfways from the left. it looks exactyl like
the screen was cut in half and the right part is simply dropped out of
rendering. i can move the mouse there and click, it all works fine - it just
isnt rendered. what is rendered is placed in the middle of the screen,
leaving black bars left and right.
i gladly appreciate any help and could provide you with further details if
    necessary.
    thanks :)

thanks for the reply :) that was my first try, anyhow. i tried every possible
combination of compatibilty options, but none of them worked. i only got a
black fullscreen (which should have been the producers splash screen) and
then it somehow goes into windowed mode and shows me a black rectangle top
left which is about a quarter of my screen, but after a short time that
closes and nothing else happens. i only have the gold version of the game...
if i had the normal one, i'd use dosbox straight away, but gold cant be run
    in dos mode.
any other ideas? maybe some setting or some small tweak? or do i have to try
    another os emulator?
