Setup: SBS2003 Standard behind Linksys firewall.

I am setting up a customer who's ISP is blocking port 25. My solution is to
use Dyndns.com to reroute email to port 24 which isn't blocked. Do I just
need to port forward 24 to the Exchange box? What about outgoing mail?

  2. Hi John

I use dyndns service mailhop outbound on port 2525 and it works well. If
they are blocking 25 both ways then you will need Mailhop outbound and
Mailhop Relay. Most ISPs that block Port 25 only block it outbound though so
you need to check on whether you really need the inbound relay on 24.

Oh thanks Frank. I just assumed it was the inbound but it makes more sense
to block the outbound for SPAM. I will redo my account.
