How do you display elapsed time in WMP 11? or even total time (other than
    going to the library)?
    Where's the status bar?

Elapsed time, I think, is the default shown to the left of the media
controls at the bottom of the player. If not, or for whatever reason you
aren't seeing elapsed time, if you double-click the time at the left of the
media controls, you can cycle through three views: elapsed time, remaining
time, and elapsed time/track total time.
The old status bar like WMP 10 had was removed from Windows Media Player 11.
Apparently, they thought that no one wanted to see the estimated time,
number of tracks, or total size of their library or of a playlist. To learn
how to see, when you're using Windows Media Player 11, the information that
was included in the WMP 10 status bar, see
