I am new to WLM so my problem can be seen as rather stupid. I need us
email aliases but I do not know how.

    My Example:
I have one primary email account with this eadress

But that account can receive and send emails also with these adresses

In Thuderbird it is possible assigning to one email account man
adresses. When I want to send an email, I can choose from dropdown menu
which adress will be used for this operation. When I receive mail by an
email alias or by my primary eadress, all the messages can be seen unde
the primary account (eadress). So in Thuderbird I have only one emai
account and I can work with many aliases belonging to that account.

Is it possible in WLM to do anything similar?

    Thank you

It's not a stupid question, and you're not the first to ask it -
    there's no need to apologize.

You can do something similar by setting up accounts for each of your
aliases. If they all use the same username and password, then all
your incoming mail should land in the same Inbox under the primary
account, but you should be able to select which account to send from
in the New message window dropdown. Sent messages will be saved in
the Sent items folder belonging to the appropriate alias account.
Make sure that 'Include this account when receiving mail or
synchronizing' is only selected for the primary account.

You can collapse the alias accounts in the Folder pane so you only
see the Inbox etc. for the primary account.
[You can also access this newsgroup direct, without having to use a
    gateway. A click on
should set it up for you.]

Stay with Thunderbird. WLM has to have an account setup for each alias.
