I am using the built in SMTP and POP3 services that come
with WS2003 (not using Exchange). I would like to strip
executable attachments from e-mail incomming to clients,
but cannot find a way. Any suggestions? Help?

    thank you

  2. Buz,

It is important to note the SMTP and POP3 services that are built into
Windows Server 2003 are simple services, there are many things that you
simply cannot do. I am not aware of any way to strip out executables in
these services. I would recommend, if you want to run those types of mail
services without Exchange, to try one of the Open Source mail projects, some
    of which do support Windows.
