My daughter has pushed some unknown buttons on the keyboard causing my icons,
windows, basically everything to be stretched and enlarged. I've looked in
settings and can't figure out how to resotre the original setting. Can you
    help?

    Desktop icons?

Hold down the CTRL key while you rotate the mouse wheel to resize desktop icons.
