Equivalent of surprise removal in win9x...

    Is there a mechanism in win9x by which I can notify an
    application of a surprise removal of the device. In win2k
    there is this surprise removal minor function from where I
    can intimate the application. I cannot wait until remove
    device minor function, because my application has a handle
    to the driver open and as a result I don't get to remove
    device at all.
