  2. Support for most MP3 players is left to the specific company who makes the
device. I personally do not own an MP3 player that I use with WMP.
Drag-and-Drop via Windows Explorer is so much easier then using WMP to
transfer files. Most USB players support the transfer of files via
    Drag-and-Drop.

Due to most of the people who post on a regular basis in this newsgroup not
using WMP to move files to a player, support isn't that great around here
for it. Since the maker of the device writes the drivers most of the time,
it is a good idea to ask them about any problems you run into.

Supported players that "should" work within WMP can be seen at
    http://tinyurl.com/ytol6

To order to play WMA's downloaded from pay service's (Wal-mart, Napster,
etc) your player needs to be supported as a "Music Service Friendly"
    device. - http://tinyurl.com/35mpq

Reinstalling the drivers is always the first thing you should try to fix any
problems you run into. If you then run into the error "Interface not
Registered", you will want to reinstall WMP over itself. For any other
support it would be best to ask the manufacturer of the device about it.
You may post here and there is nothing wrong with it, but the main
contributories to the group can not exactly help you much.
