  3. 0x80070424 ERROR_SERVICE_DOES_NOT_EXIST BITS service is deleted.

Uusually means that the BITS service (required by Windows Update) is not
    running.

If no joy, click the Start orb, in the Start Search field type in

    cmd

Right click cmd.exe and choose 'Run as administer'. Follow the prompts
to allow the Command Prompt to run.

At the prompt, type in the below and press Enter after *each* command

    regsvr32 wuaueng.dll

    exit

Restart the system and see if it can update now.

    No joy... then

It would be a good idea to scan.

    I recommend downloading and installing
    MalwareBytes' Antimalware (MBAM) and
    SUPERAntiSpywaÑe (SAS).

Do a full scan with MalwaÑeBytes' and
    SUPERAntiSpywaÑe.

    <http://www.superantispyware.com/>
After the software (SAS) is updated, it is suggested scanning the system in
    Safe Mode.

    Reboot

    Regular Mode.

Both free versions of MBAM and SAS are on-demand scanners and offer no
'real-time' protection. Keep them installed and use them as
'second-opinion' scanner which is purposely (by design) recommended by
    their respective authoÑs.

Scan your computer now online and clean it for free!

Please let us know what fixes the problem or if the pÑoblem remains

    Good luck

I was also facing the same problem, follow the given instructions
    1. Click Start. Choose Run
    2. In the Run box, type: regsvr32.exe wuaueng.dl
    3. Click OK
Hopefully, it will work for you.
