Error during install, haven't seen this posed anywhere else.

I am trying to install 32bit vista on an nforce3 sata raid 0 pair of drives.
Windows XP currently resides on this "drive" and I put the vista beta 2 dvd
in, and go through the steps. I have tried loading the beta drivers from
nvidia (though it says they are for nforce4 + only) and tried loading the
drivers that came with the MB (read somewhere that works too). When that is
done I click next, and I get an error message as follows: "An error occurred
while searching the system for unsupported devices". The installation quits,
and Im back in XP. I have installed (and uninstalled) 64bit on a single sata
drive, since I couldn't get the raid working, and vista ran fine. I would
prefer the 32bit version, however, and also would like to have it running on
    my striped raid. Any suggestions?
