  1. Hi all,

I am now receiving the following message -

Sorry, we could not sign you in because the sign-in name you entered does
not exist or your password is incorrect.

If you have forgotten your password, please click Help in the main Messenger
window, and then click Help topics for instructions on resetting your
    password. 0x81000303.

Could someone please help me. I have changed my password and done
everything that has been suggested by the posts from Jonathon to other ng
    members but to no avail.
I do not want to change my hotmail email address as it would be very
inconvenient to me and my work colleagues.

    Help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Regards,
    Di Maloney

  2. Hi,

This particular error indicates that your password couldn't be validated -- either because
it's incorrect or some other problem is keeping it from being validated.

As a test to find out where the problem actually lies, try a third-party client like Trillian
Basic (http://www.trillian.cc). If you can get into the .NET Messenger service using
Trillian, then the problem lies somewhere with the validation or SSL libraries within
Windows/Internet Explorer (which Messenger makes use of).
