error message saying to reinstall

    when i try to open my windows media player it comes up
    with a message that says " The file wmp.dll has a version
    number of where was expected.
    windows media player is not installed properly and must be
    reinstalled. do you want to install the player from the
    microsoft website?" i have never gotten this message
    before and i dont know what to do. i tried reinstalling it
    from the site, but the message still shows. what can i do
    to fix this? please if you have any suggestions please

    Hi, Goto Start>Run>>Type "c:\windows\inf\unregmp2.exe /UpdateWMP". That
    should fix you.
