Help! Windows Update fails every time. Here are the
    steps:

    1. I go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com.
    2. I'm redirected to
    http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/v5consumer/default.a
    spx?ln=en-us.
    3. I immediately recieve a message box with the
warning "Your current security settings prohibit running
ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may
    not display correctly."
    4. Then a few moments later I get this error in Internet
    Explorer: "[Error number: 0x8DDD0004]
Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot
display the requested page. Try refreshing the page,
clearing your Internet Explorer Temporary Internet Files,
closing and restarting Internet Explorer, or trying
    Windows Update again later."

    More information:
    Dell Inspiron 2650
