    "Windows Update cannot be displayed because your computer requires you to
    restart it in order to finish another process. For example, you may have
    installed a program or update recently. After restarting, click Start, and
    then click Windows Update."

    Just so you know, I have restarted many times. I have also checked the
    services.msc and Automatic, BITS, and Event are on automatic. I am getting a
    little frustrated now, anyone have an answer. I appreciate the feedback.

  2. Hi

    For error 0x8DDD0007 you can try this:

    Start/Run --> regedit.exe

    If the RebootRequired key exists in registry (see path below),
    delete the key.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
    \CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update\RebootRequired
