It won't check for updates. Automatic updates are turned on. I do have an SRZ
number but it seems to be taking them along time!

    Ref: SRZ050402001221

    Any ideas?

I already tried that and it did not help. When I renamed SoftwareDistribution
to SDOLD it just made a new file duplicate name; SoftwareDistribution was
still there! In other words, it did not replace it with a new file name.
Still no success. Should I delete SoftwareDistribution after renaming it?

  4. When you rename the SoftwareDistribution folder, a new SoftwareDistribution
folder is created.........that is "normal". Unfortunately, as far as I know,
that is the only "fix" that has worked for that particular error message. If
I do happen upon another "fix" for that error, I will definitely post it for
    you.

Have you received a response to your support request SRZ050402001221? If so,
I'd be interested in knowing the troubleshooting steps that MS recommended.

    Regards,
