Error on startup: "Load Error! press a key to reboot." HELP ME.

Discussion in 'Windows Update' started by Butterflyhoney, Apr 9, 2004.

  1. Briefly, when I was home, I was downloading computer
updates from Microsoft's update page on a dial-up
    connection.

I was vacuuming in the meantime, and when I was done
vacuuming, I unplugged the power supply to my laptop
instead of my vacuum (I had no battery back-up).

So, when I restart my laptop, I get this message: "Load
error! Press a key to reboot."

After three total system restores, I still get the same
    problem.

Does someone have the knowledge, or know-how to help me
with this problem? Thanks so much.
