    Hi all

I am trying to edit Domain controller security policy on my 2003 st. server.
But I all the time receive error "Failed to open Group Polocy Object. You
    may not have appropriate rights.
    Details:
Windows cannot find the network path. .......

Please help me to resolve the problem.

  2. Look in Event Viewer of that domain controller to see if any pertinent
errors are recorded. Verify that the sysvol share exists in My Network
Places for the domain controller and that you can connect to it. Also check
to see that the pdc fsmo is online. Dns micsonfiguratrion often is the cause
of such problems and using the support tools netdiag and dcdiag on the
domain controller may reveal a configuration or networking problem that can
cause such problems. See the link below on Active Directory dns first to
make sure your dns is configured correctly for the domain. --- Steve
