Event Viewer error - whenever I click "View event Logs" under Administrative\ntools I receive the following error:\n\nEvent Log Service is unavailable. Verify that the service is running.\n\nI then go to Services and select and retstart Diagnostic Policy Service and\nreceive the following error:\n\n"Windows could not start the Diagnostic Policy Service service on Local\nComputer.\nError 1079: The account specified for this service is different from the\naccount specified for other services running in the same process."\n\nI then tried starting Windows Event Log and received this error:\n\n"Windows could not start the Windows Event Log Service on Local Computer.\nError 4201: The instance name passed was not recognized a valid WMI by data\nprovider."\n\nI also tried starting the task scheduler service and received this error:\n"Task Scheduler Service is not available. Task Scheduler will attempt to\nreconnect to it."\n\nThe error pops up several times then the Task scheduler window says\n"reading data failed"\n\nAnother error, after installing the Latest Windows update Many of my\nshortcuts and desktop icons are missing. All of the Office 2007 icons are\nmissing and So is iTunes and other programs. I have retored it previously\nwhen I had the same issue yesterday and thought I had installed something the\nmessed up the computer. the only thing that was the same was the windows\nvista update that caused the same issue.\n\nplease help any assistance you can offer will help this headache go away. I\nwas very leery of even buying a computer with vista because of the "issues" I\nheard about i only bought my computer 3 months ago and now I'm having all\nthese issues aand i am not that happy!
