Errors upgrading from WSUS2 to WSUS3

    Help any ideas
    Here is the contents of the WSUSSetup.log file
    WSUS DB is not on the c drive
    Using SBS2003

  2. How about you tell us exactly what you did.
    As noted in the error log, the installer cannot connect to the existing
    instance of the database server. Whether it's there, or just misconfigured,
    is an important point.

    Does "Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine (WSUS)" appear in Add/Remove
    Programs?
    Is this SBS2003 Standard Edition or Premium Edition?
    Is this SBS2003 SP1 or SBS2003 R2?

    Have you checked *ALL* of the documented issues in the WSUS3 README
    pertaining to SBS2003 and upgrading from WSUS2 to WSUS3?

    I was trying to upgrade.
    Yes it does show in add remove programs
    SBS 2003 STD SP1
