I discovered this Event 10016 error which occurred 23 times. It reads,

    "Source: DCOM
    Event ID: 10016
    Last Occurrence: 04/06/2007 4:32 AM
    Total Occurrences: 23 *
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation
permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{61738644-F196-11D0-9953-00C04FD919C1} to the user NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK
SERVICE SID (S-1-5-20). This security permission can be modified using the
    Component Services administrative tool."

How do I go to the Component Services administrative tool? What should I do?

  2. Hi wrytat:

When you have an event id and a source, go to www.eventid.net.

put in the event id and the source.

you will find lots of possible fixes

I checked all 4 yesterday: Local Launch, Local Activation, Remote Launch,
Remote Activation. And I'm still monitoring. It seems like I am still
    receiving that error...

Run regedit and search the registry for the CLSID (without brackets) that is
showing up as in error to see which application it is. The CLSID in your
initial post points to IIS WAMREG admin Service on our server.

After monitoring the server for a few days, the DCOM error doesn't appear
    again. Thank you.
