Event ID 1008 generate regularly

Hi,



I have a server on Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition. The following Event Id
is generating regularly.

Event ID:-1008,

Source:-TermService,

Type:-Error

Description:- The terminal server licensing grace period has expired and the
service has not registered with a license server with installed licenses. A
terminal server license server is required for continuous operation. A
terminal server can operate without a license server for 120 days after
initial start up.



After this event all users are not able to access data on the server. To
access the data we have to reboot the server. This Event generate once in 12
hour.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

The Win2003 TS by default allows Ts connections for 120 days without license
(W2k 90 days). If you already adquired TS licenses Check your licensing
configuration mode. Note you can have per device (machine) or per user, in
some scenarios the problem is that your TS Licensing server is incorrectly
configured (For example, instead of Licensing mode =per user is set to
device).
