Extender disconnections

Does anyone have any thoughts on this.... ?

I've had a few wireless extender disconnections in the last few days.
They've been different error codes (9990204, 904, and 2014) and really
haven't had any situations in common except that in all cases I've started my
microwave oven just prior to all these events. Is this the likely culprit? Or
is it just wishful thinking that this is the cause. (The microwave is within
ten feet of the line of sight between the extender and the router). I've got
a new HP m7100y system, a Linksys Extender, and a Linksys WRT54G router.
Also, if this (the microwave) could be the problem, will upgrading to a
    WRT55G router alleviate this?

    Thanks,

    Mike

  2. Microwave ovens use the same 2.4GHz as the 802.11 b/g wireless.
    802.11a will avoid this issue.
