We have Windows 2003 Server raid 5 but would like to add a removable backup
system. Seems the options are removable harddrive or tape drive.

If we go for the hard drive what is the most painless way to create the
backups. Assume we would need at least two drives one on one off site. If
the drive is large enough how is it best to overwrite older images or
backups automatically without user intervention and without losing the most
recent. Is this built in to any backup software.

    Thanks

Hard drives tend to fail more frequently than magnetic tapes. There's a lot
of articles at microsoft.com and in the Internet about backup policies. You
should keep old backups, just in case if the newer ones are corrupted.
