    Hi all,
I'm running windows 2000 pro sp4 and have installed a new SBS 2003 std
server. When i try to use the fax cover page editor I get the following
    message:

    FXSCOVER.exe - Ordinal Not Found
The ordinal 6928 could not be located in the dynamic link library MFC42u.dll.

I have no problems with XP pro sp2.
    Have you any possible fixes.

    Thanks
    Ian

  2. Hello Ian,

Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.

I understand that when you tried to use the Fax Cover Page on your Windows
2000 SP4 client workstations, you encounter following error message:

    FXSCOVER.exe - Ordinal Not Found
The ordinal 6928 could not be located in the dynamic link library
    MFC42u.dll.

If I have misunderstood your issue, please let me know.

Based on my research, this issue can be caused mfc42u.dll on the client
    machines is old version.

I suggest that you replace the mfc42u.dll on the client machines with the
NEWER version from the server at the following locations and see how it
    goes:

    c:\winnt\servicespackfiles\i386
    c:\winnt\system32
    c:\winnt\system32\dllcache

If the issue persists, please help me to gather following information for
    research:

    a. When did the issue occur? Did you encounter this issue before? Did you
make any changes on the client workstations recently?

    b. On one of the problematic client workstations, run "eventvwr" (without
quotation marks), check whether there are any errors. If yes, double click
it, click the Copy button and paste the full content to the Newsgroup.

Please take your time to perform the steps. If you have any updates, please
feel free to let me know. I am looking forward to hearing from you!

    Best regards,

    Brandy Nee
