    Hi There,
Can anyone please help me. one of My Major folder in my Externa
hard(western digital 1TB) drive is not accessible at all.. their fil
names and folder names have been changed into some values, and folder
in it have turned into 0 kb. but the root folder shows the accurate siz
of all the folders even the one which is corrupted.. So is there an
possibility to recover that folder. which has all my major works in it

Error: file name, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect!

    *Thanks in Advance..

    1. What happens if you attach the drive to a different computer?
    2. What antivirus do you have installed?
    3. If this is a My Book, what do Western Digital tech support say?

    Thanks for ur reply Malke,
yeah i have tried connecting to a different laptop but its still shows
    the same..
and i use avg 7.5 free edition. and i haven't talked to western digital
    tech support yet.
i think they wont care about the data other than, if its a hardware
    problem!!
